With a foundation laid as a beneficiary of Ikasi Youth NPC from 2014 to 2016, Stephano embarked on a journey of learning and development. Transitioning into an internship role in 2017, he seized the opportunity to cultivate essential Leadership and Management skills.
Driven by ambition and hunger for success, Stephano's dedication and hard work propelled him to the position of Branch Manager in 2019, a role he continues to excel in to this day. With a proven track record of leadership, strategic thinking, and operational excellence, Stephano brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team."
MARESA DU PLESSIS
Project Director
Maresa has a degree in social work and a Masters degree in Health Systems and Services Research. She
has been involved in a number of community projects and has a passion for social justice and seeing people fulfil their true potential. She enjoys working towards evidence based practice in the areas she is involved in.
JEREMY SMITH
Academic Program Head
Jeremy joined Ikasi Youth in 2015. He has been involved in Youth Development for over seven years after completing his studies in Practical Theology in 2007. At Ikasi Jeremy manages the Every Day Heroes Club Academic Program, facilitating the English and Mathematics Program. He considers himself a lifelong student and always wants to learn and educate himself.
NATHAN ROBERTS
Founding Director
Nathan holds a post graduate diploma in Management (Specializing in Entrepreneurship) from UCT. He has founded many SMMES and social impact campaigns.
Nathan’s passion lies in inspiring youth and helping them realise their true potential.
AVELEIGH GATEMAN
Curriculum Developer
Aveleigh loves to create opportunities for youth to develop and grow. She joined Ikasi Youth in 2015 with years of experience in the education, non-profit and art fields, and she has an extensive background as a facilitator, project manager and curriculum designer. Aveleigh has a degree in International Development and Globalization from the University of Ottawa, as well as a Masters degree in Arts & NGO management from the EDHEC Business School in France. She has spent the last 10 years traveling her own path and working throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Gcinokuhle has successfully graduated from the three year long Heroes Journey Program, completed the Heroes Beyond Program and is now a valued facilitator of the coursework he benefited from.
